You might have seen that this month, we’ve been celebrating our 90th anniversary baking delicious pork pies in Yorkshire. We now bake over 80 million pork pies a year and we couldn’t achieve that without every single member of our wonderful team. We had a chat with three members from our team to ask them about their typical day working at Vale of Mowbray as well as how they’d celebrate their 90th birthday…
What’s a typical day like in your role?
Looking at lots of lovely pork pies, having a bit of a laugh with all staff in the department
What makes a perfect pork pie?
Us of course! 🙂
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Relaxing at home with my 6 year old step-daughter
How are you going to celebrate your 90th birthday?
I’d like to visit a classic car show
Describe a typical day working at Vale of Mowbray HQ
Coming into work with the smell of lovely pork pies coming out of the oven and working with some good people that make the day go fast!
What’s a typical day in your role?
I start work at about 4:30 Monday – Friday and sometimes Saturday morning. I organise the running of the production area which is always busy and the days fly by
What makes a perfect pork pie
All the staff that work at Vale of Mowbray make the perfect pork pie they all work really hard to ensure the product is the best

I’m going to have a big party!

Describe a typical day at Vale of Mowbray
We start work at 4:30am and we are busy all day filling pastry into tins, I work with a good group of people and we have some laughs along the way
