Home delivery; our meat boxes!

We hope you’re all well and staying safe right now. Hopefully, you’ve seen our meat delivery service by now (if not, you can find out everything you need to know and order here.) But we thought we might give you some ideas on how to enjoy your boxes.

We don’t know about you, but everything has become an event. We had scones the other day and instead of just eating them merrily, we all sat down and enjoyed them in a full afternoon tea – we had the time to set it up after-all!

(At the time of writing, we’re all isolating at home with just our households, so we write this as just fun meal ideas using our delivery boxes to do with your household.)

Our breakfast box includes:

  • 6lb/2.72kg x Sausages
  • 5lb/2.27kg x Bacon
  • 2.2lb/1kg x Black Pudding
  • Selection of Pork Pies

So this is the basis of your Sunday breakfast treat. We’d add in some fried eggs and beans for a proper fry up and maybe some toast if you’re in the mood. The one thing that we think you should try here is a breakfast potato. All you need to do is chop up a few potatoes into chunks then parboil them for around 10 minutes until you can get a knife into them without it being really hard. Whilst this is boiling, lightly fry in garlic oil; chopped red onion, red and green pepper plus a rasher of bacon, roughly chopped into smaller pieces. Once this is lightly fried but not cooked, drain your potatoes and mix all together with paprika seasoning. Then pop it on an oiled tray and cook for about 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are golden brown. All your ingredients are really adjustable so play around depending on your preference.

The weekend box

Included in the weekend box:

  • Gammon Corner joint
  • 424g Back Bacon
  • HECK! 97% Pork Sausages (6)
  • 500g Lean Beef Mince
  • 6 Free Range Eggs
  • Yorkshire Crisps
  • Selection of Vale of Mowbray Pork Pies

There’s lots of delicious treats in all our boxes; of course, including our own Yorkshire baked pork pies. The ultimate treat; how do you eat yours? Eaten alone or with condiments, you could eat as part of a meal with other parts of the box or just served alone. We’ve been recently enjoying a pork pie for a weekend lunchtime treat, served simply with some Branston Pickle and baked beans. What could be better!

Weekly shop box

If you have a garden and a BBQ,  our weekly shop box is perfect for the grill. As the name suggests, there’s enough in here for around a week, you’ll get:

  • 2.5kg Chicken Breast
  • Back Bacon Joint
  • Pork Tenderloin
  • HECK! 97% Pork Sausages (6)
  • 500g Lean Beef Mince
  • 4 x 4oz Beef Burgers
  • Jacksons White Bloomer Bread
  • Yorkshire Creamery Cheddar Cheese
  • Wensleydale Yorkshire Butter
  • 6 x Free Range Eggs
  • Yorkshire Crisps
  • 6 x 500ml Harrogate Spring Water
  • Selection of Vale of Mowbray Pork Pies

So; we’d recommend either beef burgers on the BBQ or chicken breasts. Once it’s been grilled, get some cheddar cheese lightly melted on top (put it back on the BBQ for a few seconds) then slot between two slices of the Jacksons bread that’s included too; what a perfect meal! We love that this also includes nibbles like our favourite Yorkshire crisps so you can sit outside and pretend to be in a beer garden!

There’s lots of other boxes we have, so have a look at them here. If you’ve had one and enjoyed or just know someone who would absolutely love one of our boxes, they make a great gift. We deliver to a number of postcodes right now, so please make sure you check them out before ordering! We’d love to see you enjoying your meat delivery box, so be sure to tag us on social media when you get yours!
