The UK’s number one pork pie brand has recruited an egg specialist to its team to support its recent NPD project, which has seen new scotch eggs added to the offering.
With vast experience in poultry and eggs, Henrietta Byrde joins the team to oversee the production of the new range and is charged with quality control and consistency.
Henrietta said: “In large scale production, it’s important not to just ‘shell out’ products to fulfil demand, but to focus on maintaining a consistent level of quality that the customer expects. This is something that Vale of Mowbray is excellent at for its existing products, and I’m really excited to be brought in to continue that great work on the new range.”
Henrietta’s experience will be invaluable to the company, according to Marketing Manager Jason Crowe who said: “Henrietta is off to a flying start, her product knowledge is second to none and we can see that the great work she has done so far is only scratching the surface – it’s an eggciting time for us.”
Vale of Mowbray has shelled out considerably in recent months, creating new roles and adding great value to its team. Henrietta’s role includes accommodation on site in a luxury coop with all the mod cons, including provision of high quality corn, straw and nesting box.
Based at Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire, Vale of Mowbray employs over 200 people and currently has live vacancies for permanent staff members. Details can be found at valeofmowbray.co.uk.
